Your Beaubleu watch: what you need to know

Congratulations, you are now a proud owner of a Beaubleu watch, so you are probably wondering how to keep your mechanism as beautiful as possible and in tip-top form?

General tips for your Beaubleu watch

How should you clean your Beaubleu watch for an optimal continuance?
A soft- cloth is recommended for light daily cleaning. If you need to do a deeper cleaning of your watch, then we recommend you to use a soft-bristled toothbrush with fresh water.

Should you avoid magnetic fields?
Magnetic fields affect watches in different ways but the main component facing the battle is the hairspring. To prevent your timepiece of being magnetized you have to avoid areas with high magnetic fields such as medical settings, electrical rooms, speaker systems and frequent flights.

Can you wear your Beaubleu watch during sports?
We recommend to not wear your watch during sports activities like tennis, golf or mountain biking, in order to protect it from vibrations which could damage the movement.

In summer, what should you do with your watch?

Can you go swimming with your Beaubleu watch?
Yes, of course! However, remember to rinse your timepiece with fresh water after your swim. Although your watch has a water-resistance of 5 ATM, diving will accelerate its aging. Do not forget to re-test the watertightness of your watch with the after-sales service every 3 years.

How do you take care of your watch strap?

Our suggestions: for cleaning, use leather grease, leather spray, or leather milk after damp cleaning so the closed protective film is built on the strap. This will also help to protect it against dirt, moisture and the sun. The leather conditioner itself must be finely applied to the leather and then polished with a clean towel. Alternatively, for better protection against moisture, it can also be treated with a waterproofing spray.

What are you timepiece’s temperature limits for exposure?
Do not expose your watch to extreme temperatures (above 60ºC/140ºF, or below 0ºC/32ºF). This exposure can reduce the service life of the battery and affect the liquidity/viscosity of the lubricants. Mechanical watches are sensitive to severe changes in temperature. Avoid them as much as possible.
